School-House Rock!

I am sitting here nodding and cheering to myself, remembering my amusing years in public schools. I definitely learned a decent number of facts, but most of it was in contention with teachers, not with the aid of teachers. I suppose you could argue that in some backwards form the schools worked, since I did in fact learn and garner some small measure of success from the anger in being there. But let’s be realistic: the whole thing of putting everyone together in one big place is ridiculous. One-size-fits-all doesn’t even work for baseball caps, let alone the daunting task of educating a child through their high school graduation.

Let’s cut the crap and allow self-esteem coddling and parental denial to be thrown aside in favor of a system that actually helps the children succeed as best they can, individually.

Bespin Cloud-City, Here I Come!

You know, I bet this wouldn’t actually be all that tough. You escape a lot of the issues you have to deal with in deep space by being in (the outer parts of) the atmosphere, and you only really gain the problems of acidic environment and floating. I bet we could get something like that going here in another decade if we wanted to…

America The Next Socialist Economy?

Hell, we’re already there. Interesting to see this guy’s take on how and why, though…

Hehe. Dickipedia. I laugh.

Well...once again, I am mildly ashamed at the level of humor I derive from such things. But i mean seriously? Dickipedia? That's pretty funny, I don't care who you are.

I Pity The Fool

I need to stress the importance of scrolling down and watching the youtube music video of Mr. T. talking about treating your mother right. I mean, like, right now. Seriously.

THE Quintessential Redneck Wedding

I don't care who you are, you have got to give this couple props for sticking to their roots...

my favorite part is the father saying "
I think it's pretty redneck myself," he said, laughing. "But I'm a redneck anyway..."

An Inspiring Quote

One must be wary of a certain kind of dreamer:

All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes, to make it possible.
