Carl Sagan / Stephen Hawking auto-tune Tribute

There's no argument with Carl Sagan and Stephen Hawking being giants of our age, in the understanding and explanation of our universe. But that their thoughts and speech could be turned into a song tribute to their work like this just kind of makes me giddy. MIT Students Take Pictures from Space on $150 Budget

I mean, the fact that they did this with $150 is pretty damned impressive...I wonder how we'll be able to make this work for other crazy stuff? For instance, why not a high-altitude launch platform based around a helium-filled dirigible? Zeppelins launching spacecraft? I mean seriously, let's get a little more creative, people.

Armadillo Aerospace Does It Again

Armadillo Aerospace, kickin ass with their execution of the X-prize competition governing lunar landers. Very cool stuff...and crazy that it seems like such a small vehicle until the very end when you see a bunch of little men run up to put out the fire...holy crap, it's big!

HAL - Cyberdyne Systems - Robot Apocalypse

This is getting to be a little bit much… I mean they’re attacking all of the sci-fi icons of my youth! Cyberdyne Systems from Terminator, HAL from 2001, all kinds of sci-fi movies that have human-machine hybrid exo-skeletons…

I’ll tell ya, though, I can’t wait to try one of these puppies out…

Scramjet... It Makes Me Happy.

Next-Gen jet engine technology has been getting lip service for awhile now, but I think the scramjet technology is the real deal. Here's to hoping...
