Are DARPA goggles anything like beer-googles? I'll take two!

Oh you silly DARPA scientists…nobody really wants to see things 10,000m away with binoculars. I just need enough power to see through my next-door neighbor’s window. Now if we could get some better night-vision, maybe with some x-ray power…then you’re talking.
