Jersey Barriers making electricity?

So yeah, I’m as into alternative energy as the next guy, probably even more so. But let’s be serious: jersey barriers with little turbines generating enough electricity to run a light rail train? SHouldn’t our efforts be focused on more feasible and realistic applications of wind technology? I just don’t see that working. Especially since the heaviest usage of said train would theoretically be during rush hour, right? The time where the cars are moving much more slowly and not generating wind? Sure. I applaud the innovative thought processes involved here, but sometimes the rabid, unfocused idealism of these projects completely undermines the real benefits (monetary, environmentally, and otherwise) provided by many of the more realistic projects.
