Israeli vs Arab Propaganda in their schools

This article brings up some fascinating issues, I think. It seems to me that in the long run, the Israeli position would be strengthened by presenting a more balanced history from the get-go. By telling the story immediately, they would undercut the far more extremist versions of that history that is told in retaliation, yielding more violent protest and insurgence. But it also brings up a much deeper issue of education, and its purposes. Admitting the fact that there is no such thing as an un-biased writing, how do we address history and education in general such that we take into account the differences in opinions and attitudes inherent within all literature?
